Out with the old and in with the do.

There's just so much one can say about Betty. First of all she's my mom and the nicest lady anyone will ever meet but that doesn't even begin to describe this nutball of a person and as for this blog entry, I'm not even going to try except to tell you one very relevant fact - Betty has had pretty much the same hair style ever since I can remember. So, last month I finally decided to take affirmative action and made her a hair appointment at my salon with the promise that I was paying so she would have no excuse not to come. I had to bribe her down to Ogden with the promise of a little pre-chopping shopping but once I had her there, there was no turning back.

What to do, what to do?

Lets start by washing out some of that hairspray, yikes!

A little bit o' color please.

Just adding the finishing touches.
Voila'! Now Betty's hair is sassy like she is. And Perry says that if she promises to stay away from the home color and perms he can do even more. Good luck with that!

What's all the fuss?

So I've been super sick this past week and have done a lot of laying around feeling sorry for my sick self. Mostly I've been too sick to do anything but watch TV, generally feeling too crapy to even change the channel so I just watched whatever happened to be on when I hit the power button. By the time Friday rolled around I was feeling a bit better and decided I might as well get something constructive done so I called my friend Laura. She has just finished reading those vampire books that every girl in the country, and probably the world, has been reading and has told me that I absolutely need to borrow and read them. I figured that since I didn't have anything else to do but lay around this would be the perfect time to start and, from the way everyone talks about the books, also finish the series. Well, now it's Sunday and I'm not quite 200 pages into the first book....I know, I know, most of you that have read them would have already been done with the first and moved onto the second book by now, but I've gotta say I'm not sucked in (pardon the pun). Maybe I'm speaking too soon I mean Bella hasn't yet decided for sure that Edward is a vampire, I just keep waiting for it to get really good. You know the kind of good that prompts a person to learn to read with one eye open so that they never have to stop reading even when their eyes get too tired? Well, so far that hasn't happened. But I hate being out of the loop so I am going to have to finish the book. Maybe falling in love with Edward is only a few pages away.... I can only hope.

Where to begin...

So, I set up this blog over a week ago and as everyone (or no one, since no one has visited my blog) can see I haven't done much with it yet. I know I suck and so far this blog is lame but I feel much the same way my sister Andrea did when she decided to start her blog, which is overwhelmed. I don't even know where to begin. Not that I have a vast amount of knowledge to impart or a ton of super great photos to share, that is as far as most people are concerned, but for those of you who do have an interest in me and my life I apologize for taking so long to get this thing going. Please know that I'm am already having way too much stress over my blog and will try to have something worth looking at ASAP. In the meantime, I'll be visiting and posting comments to your blogs, just so's you know that although you aren't able to check up on me, I am looking in on you. Luvs!

Here you go

Alright everyone, I finally caved and have created a blog. I'm not particularly happy about doing this especially since I'm not much of a writer. I don't expect anyone to read my blogs... but think they will be a great outlet for my feelings. Blah, blah, blah, I know you are all thinking I should just get a journal. Well I have one and haven't written in it for years now so clearly that strategy isn't working. I dunno, I guess I'll give this a try. Sally and Andrea I hope you're happy.
